About Us
DR. TOM KOLLARS,
the DNA Bio-Musician
Dr. Thomas M. Kollars, Jr. is a scientist as
well as jazz and classically trained musician and composer. He has
worked in a number of fields of science in the United States, Europe
and Asia. Much of his career has been to use ecology, molecular
biology, mathematical modeling and spatial analysis to help improve
and protect human health. He has a number of publications within
scientific journals and is also an inventor.
As a trombonist, Tom has played with a number
of groups in the United States as well as in Asia. He has performed
with the Philadelphia Spectrum Big Band, members of the Thailand
National Symphony, and the Bangkok International Big Band. He is
a member of the Baltimore Composers Forum and is involved with composing
classical and jazz music. His love for science and music drove him
to develop a method that could tie the two fields together. DNAudio
compositions and songs have been used in zoos and wildlife conservation
societies. His songs have been used in hospitals and at home, by
patients having diseases such as diabetes and cancer and by people
using his music to help in meditation, healing and worship.
One of Toms goals with DNAudio is to inform
people how precious and irreplaceable every living thing and every
person is. A second goal is to help bring harmony and balance to
peoples' lives through the healing and meditative power of music
combined with science.
ALVIN YONG
Alvin
Yong is deeply fascinated by the bio-Age musical creation of his
friend, Tom. Having played the classical guitar since the age of
13, and having dabbled in song composition himself, Alvin thoroughly
enjoys the uniquely soothing and meditative genetic composition,
and is thrilled by the way Mother Nature composes such magical sounds
and hides them in the DNA of living organisms.
Like Tom, much of Alvin's career has been in
high tech arena - defence technology, Internet media, bio-tech aromatherapy
and nano-tech wellness and skincare. And with an academic background
in quantum physics, he believes that there could be possible healing
and therapeutic benefits from Bio-Music.
Alvin aspires to share Tom's Bio-Music with
the world, and thus he set up BioArtz as the vehicle to promote
Bio-Music and to offer the unique service to help others create
their own signature Bio-Music based on their DNA for enjoyment,
discovery and lasting memory.
Bio-Music is such a magical confluence of science
and arts - hence the name BioArtz! Enjoy.
